オードリーは２つの詩が大好きでした。

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.

For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.

For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.

For beautiful hair, let a child run his fingers through it once a day.

For poise, walk with the knowledge you'll never walk alone ...

People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived,

reclaimed and redeemed and redeemed ...

Never throw out anybody.

Remember, if you ever need a helping hand,

 you'll find one at the end of your arm.

As you grow older you will discover that you have two hands.

One for helping yourself, the other for helping others.

魅力的な唇のためには　優しいことばを紡ぐこと

愛らしい瞳のためには　人々の素晴らしさを見つけること

スリムな体のためには　飢えた人々と食べものを分かちあうこと

豊かな髪のためには　一日に一度　子供の指で梳いてもらうこと

美しい身のこなしのためには　決してひとりで歩むことがないと知ること

人は物よりも　はるかに多く回復し、復活し、

生きかえり、再生し、報われることが必要なのです

くり返し　くり返し　報われることが…

年をとると　人は　自分に二つの手があることに気がつきます

一つの手は　自分を助けるため　もう一つは　他者をたすけるために

　この詩はそのうちのひとつで、オードリーが1992年（最期のクリスマス・イブ）に、二人の息子ショーンとルカへ読んであげたものです。
